Teaching Philosophy I help golfers to accomplish their goals as quickly as possible through a thorough understanding of the fundamentals, impact, ball flight laws, and short game. A learning atmosphere is cultivated which leads to improvement and a greater enjoyment of the game. I create an individualized program encompassing all aspects of the game including: practicing, course management, psychology, fitness and the equipment each golfer needs. Using many different strategies, techniques and teaching aids, including extensive video analysis, I try to help golfers understand, see and feel improvements in their games. While helping each golfer, I often come across misconceptions which hinder that player’s development. Part of my responsibility as a professional is to clear up these misconceptions to pave the way to improvement. I am a firm believer that Equipment Affects Motion®. I have seen too many golfers attempt to reach a higher level of consistency with golf clubs that are ill-fit for the job. Golfers with clubs that are not fit for them have limited their improvement. Once fit, a golfer’s skill level is unlimited. I evaluate, fit and recommend specifications for golf clubs using by far the best available tool, the Henry-Griffitts, Inc. system. Using it, I have the ability to thoroughly test one golf club specification at a time. No other system, company, or store can do that.
